Since the park was founded, it has been visited by more than 500 million tourists and guests, including royalty, heads and presidents of various states. The idea of opening a recreation area came to Walt Disney when he and his daughters were walking in Griffith Park, which is located in the Santa Monica Mountains. The titanic work of all those who worked on its creation, today, welcomes visitors with favorite stories and characters from cartoons. Interestingly, the bulk of visitors are adults.

To date, the territory of the park has significantly increased and its area is about 200 hectares. The complex consists of:

  • Disney Park, which was created the very first;
  • Disney’s California Adventure Park – a new part of the park that tells the story of the Golden State;
  • Downtown Disney – an entire entertainment city with restaurants, arcades, theaters and bars;
  • Disneyland Resort Hotel – a true Disneyland hotel and one of the most famous hotels in Los Angeles.

In the summer of 2012, a five-year expansion of the park was completed. There appeared: Buena Vista Street, Cars Land, as well as new attractions. One of the most complex rides Cars Land takes visitors into the fascinating world of the popular cartoon “Cars”. Here everyone can walk through the city of Radiator Springs and visit three attractions created for the whole family.

Part of Buena Vista Street Park is a typical shopping street of the city of Los Angeles in the 20’s. It was during this time that Walt Disney came to these places to realize his dream. At the very end of the street is the Carthay Circle Theatre, the building and interior of which is an exact copy of the Los Angeles theater, where in 37th year “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” premiered.

Unforgettable entertainment, a huge number of attractions attract tourists and guests from all over the world to the park. Today, there are 8 thematic zones, which consist of 60 attractions, stores, railway station, cafes, fire station, hotels, as well as at every step you are waiting for adventure surprises and of course, the characters of your favorite cartoons.

One of the most popular parts of the park is Frontierland. A magnificently recreated corner of the Wild West, in the era when it was developed by settlers. Indians, cowboys, saloons, and the sounds of country music take visitors back to the very middle of the 19th century. Here you can attend cowboy shows, ride a rumbling mountain railroad, or sail on a steamboat with Mark Twain’s characters.

Disneyland is a whole world to which you need to devote more than one day. Here life is boiling both day and night, a lot of restaurants that offer visitors a diverse menu from the usual dishes of classic New Orleans to high Mediterranean cuisine.
