If you’ve been to the Discovery Museum, you’ve probably played within our Farm Stand. The stand has assorted fruits and vegetables for visitors to fill up their grocery baskets. There’s also a variety of breads, two registers filled with play money and even a sink to rinse the produce.
Next weekend, The Garden State Discovery Museum will be welcoming our new sponsors, Whole Foods of Marlton. To celebrate the sponsorship the Farm Stand will be getting a whole new look as it transforms into “Wholesome Pickins”, an environmentally friendly, “green” produce stand. Resembling Whole Foods, the exhibit will have three separate trash receptacles: compost, landfill and regular trash. There will be a local, organic section, seasonal menu planning, a produce scale, helpful environmental tips and more! The grand opening will take place next Saturday and Sunday on June 8 and June 9. Come help us welcome the Whole Foods of Marlton to the Discovery Museum family!
