A Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series

Cherry Hill, NJ – June 18, 2014 – On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Garden State Discovery Museum will be kicking off their second annual Groovin’ and Grubbin’, the free outdoor concert series and food truck festival. Local gourmet food trucks line the museum’s parking lot from 5-8 PM and a different performer takes the stage each week for a 7 PM show. This year, My Gym will be joining the festivities by setting up a bounce house from 5-7 PM.

The weekly entertainment lineup is family-friendly and sure to have you grooving in your seat. The wildly popular Ernie & Neal are returning to kick the summer event off in a rock and roll kind of way! Families will also see Tim and the Space Cadet, Larry the Hatman, and Sarah O’Brien & the Community Rocks Kids. The Museum’s own Discovery Theatre will perform raPUNzel and The Frog Princess outdoor theater style. Check the Discovery Museum website for a full performer lineup.

The Museum’s parking lot is packed with a variety of food choices to satisfy every taste bud big and small. Last year, there were nearly a dozen different food trucks that joined the event, and this year there will be have even more! This year’s lineup includes Mary’s Mobile Diner, The Tot Cart, Cupcakes2gogo, Undrgrnd Donuts, Surf and Turf Truck, Springdale Farms, Cupcake Carnivale, Brother Bear BBQ, Guerrilla Ultima, Made in the Shade Lemonade, Curbside Creamery, KAMI, and Pbon’s Fresh Phood. Love those summer nights with the Garden State Discovery Museum!

“We are so excited to kick off our second year of such a successful event. We really loved seeing families gather week after week to enjoy the music, the food, and their neighbors and community,” said Jordan Blau, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Museum. “We have great pictures of toddlers sitting on hay bales with water ice dripping down their arms, big smiles on their faces, laughing and singing with the performers.”

Each Wednesday in July and August, grab some grub from 5-8 PM, bounce from 5-7 PM, and catch a performance at 7 PM. With a different performer every night, come once, come twice, come every night!
