      Start off with crafts, stories, songs and games all about our caterpillar and butterfly friends.  Then join us outside for our annual butterfly release, as we send them off in style for their migration to Mexico.

      Veggication is a culinary-nutrition education program that introduces children to the wonderfully delicious and nutritious world of vegetables.  Our friend Jack Caputo of Springdale Farms will be leading this fun, interactive workshop on creating tasty, healthy snacks.

      The museum is teaming up with our friends at Springdale Farms for our annual Pumpkin Palooza! There will be fun activities at both locations including: pony rides courtesy of Okey Doke Ranch, a moon bounce provided by My Gym, fall crafts, Farmer Tom’s hayride, a corn maze and paint-a-pumpkin. Pick up your admission bracelet at either location for a weekend of fall fun!

      Pick up your all-day pass at either location for $18.  Disocvery Museum Members! Get your discounted $15 pass only at the museum.

      The Museum kicks off late-night Saturdays with a celebration of children’s literature.  Four local children’s book authors will be here to read their work and lead related activities.  Then meet everyone’s favorite trouble-making monkey, Curious George!

    1. Halloween Hootenanny
      6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

      Come into the museum for a happily haunted Halloween! Make your way through each Halloween themed exhibit. You’ll have a chance to do Halloween crafts and show off your best dance moves. Then, come outside for Trunk or Treat! You can trick or treat from the trunks of cars in the museum parking lot! Kick off Halloween early with the Discovery Museum.

      $11 Non-Members, $8 Member Children and Free for Member Adults.

      12:00 PM – 12:30 PM

      Old MacDonald has a farm but wants to explore life in the big city.  Join him on his big tractor adventure as Discovery Theatre presents this original tale full of songs and smiles.  Who knows where you might E-I-E-I-GO?!

      Performances are at 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM.
