Giant Salmon swims to the Garden State Discovery Museum from the Northwest!
The Columbia & Snake river watershed in the Pacific Northwest was once home to the most magnificent runs of salmon and steelhead trout in the world. Today, these national treasures are headed towards extinction. This spring, the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition has hit the road, going from coast to coast to raise awareness about the plight of these wild fish, their rivers and the communities that depend on them. The centerpiece of the tour is an enormous 25-foot salmon sculpture named ‘Fin.’ Come down and learn more about wild salmon and the opportunities to both enjoy and save them for future generations.
