Birthday parties burst with imagination and discovery at the Garden State Discovery Museum!
Our parties are a unique way for your child to celebrate their special day with their friends and families. Whether you want to stuff your own animal, dig for dinosaur bones or party with Captain Sandy Hook; our birthday party experience is sure to bring smiles to everyone’s faces! Discovery Party
10 child minimum, $14.95 + tax per child includes:
• Exclusive use of a Discovery Room for 1½ hours, followed by 1½ hours of hands-on fun
• A party host to help with your celebration
• For every child, one adult is free (extra adults, $5.00 + tax each)
• 2 parents of the birthday child are free and 4 grandparents of the birthday child are free
• Free gift for the birthday child when they sign up for the Birthday Gift Registry in Museum’s Discovermore Store
*Members receive a 10% discount off of their party and 1 birthday child is free. $5.00 + tax is charged for extra adults (One adult is required for every 3 children to chaperone all parties.)

Pirate Party
– Join us on an adventure to uncharted territory! With the help of our resident pirate, the kids will customize their own pirate hat and participate in a treasure hunt that is sure to result in plenty of loot for all.
Spectacular Science
– Make sure you have your lab gear on for this one! The Crazy Chemist will be joining this party to do some mind-blowing science demonstrations with the kids’ help. Each child will make their own Gak to take home!
Princess Party
– Become a member of our Royal Family as our resident Princess helps all the kids customize a crown and choose between a shield or a wand to decorate and take home.
Incredible Edibles
– You would never believe that baked goods could be so exciting! Become a pastry chef as we bake and decorate our own cupcakes and make some home-made milkshake samples, kick-the-can style.
Dino Party
- Everyone is sure to dig this prehistoric party. Join the museum’s paleontologists as you search for hidden dinosaur bones, reassemble the skeleton of a miniature T-Rex and make your very own fossil imprints to take home
Stuffin’ Party
10 child minimum, $24.95 + tax per child includes:
• Exclusive use of a Discovery Room for 1 ½ hours, followed by 1½ hours on Museum floor.
• A party host to help with your celebration

• Kids will each choose and stuff their own 12”-15” stuffed animal. Each animal comes with a birth certificate, a star to make a wish on and a cradle to carry your new friend home.

Weekday Birthday Special!
Have your child’s party any weekday during these times:
• Discovery Party – $9.95 + tax per child from 3pm-5pm, 1 hour in party room, 1 hour play on Museum floor
• Theme Party – $12.95 + tax per child from 3pm-5pm, 1 hour in party room, 1 hour play on Museum floor

• Stuffin’ Party – $19.95 + tax per child from 3pm-5pm, 1 hour in party room, 1 hour play on Museum floor

* Please be aware that we do not guarantee the use of specific party rooms. Party rooms are assigned according to size and type of party.
* Food and refreshments are available pre-ordered from J-Dogs Cafe (located inside the Museum), or you may bring food & refreshments of your choosing.
*All tables are covered by us with art paper, and crayons are provided for drawing. We do not provide tablecloths. You will have a party host assigned to you for the duration of your time in the party room to assist you with set up and clean up, and to ensure your party runs smoothly. Please do not hesitate to ask your party host for anything you may need. Piñatas, wall decorations, balloons or outside entertainment of any kind (clowns, magicians, characters, facepainters, etc.) are not permitted.

$5 Gift Card
Purchase a gift card for $5 in the Discovermore Toy Store and give your party guests the gift of shopping! You’ll go down in history for giving the best party favors and you won’t even have to break a sweat. You must purchase a minimum of ten.

Register Your Child in the Discovermore Store
Come in to create your child’s wish list. Your child can select from a wide selection of specialty toys, games, science kits, arts and crafts kits, puzzles, and books. For registering in advance, your child will receive a small gift and you will receive stickers to place on your party invitations so your guests can call the store and select a gift that will be wrapped and ready to pick up on the day of the party!
